Oh no! My science fair project is ruined!

But don't fret! Your failed science project could be your best science fair project ever.

First, I'll admit that my background is not in science, other then a plethora of science classes and experimental misadventures from high school, so my science fair project experience is rather limited. However, some of my other experiences have taught me that there is much to be gained and much to be learned from mistakes, and a messed up science fair project is no exception.

Second, only half of a science fair project is the actual project or experiment itself; the remaining half is the presentation. Just because the experiment didn't prove your hypothesis or ruined mom's best cookware, doesn't mean your presentation can't be top-notch.

Third, head on over to LifeHack to find out how Thursday Bram won a science fair with a failed project and be sure to use her tips and techniques to prevent your failed experiment from turning into a failing grade.

If you've had a science fair project go horribly wrong, tell us about it in the comments! We'd love to read your stories of Einsteins in the making.
